Typical opportunities require qualities similar to those below:
- Technical writing and document staffing within DoD agencies
- Assess, analyze, and document RDT&E space system information systems for confidentiality, availability, and integrity
- Document compliance of space systems with current DoD, AF, AFRL, and AF Space Command direction, instructions, and policy
- Quickly analyze and understand unique, developmental technologies to assess capabilities, potential vulnerabilities, and solutions
- Analyze formal requirements and test procedures, follow testing protocols, and document results in various formats
- Work with multiple agencies with varying corporate cultures, with a focus on mission accomplishment
- Originate and review briefings, documents, drawings and procedures for manufacturing, development, integration, or test and provide comments to the Government Customer and contractor
- Understand that all of the above must be incorporated into low-budget programs with a focus on schedule and performance
- Other duties, as specified by the Government Customer
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or equivalent work experience) in English or Computer Science
- Demonstrated experience with technical writing for DoD or US government agencies
- General understanding of information assurance and information security frameworks and implementation guides
- Analyze formal requirements and test procedures, follow testing protocols, and document results in various formats
- Familiarity with multiple computational technologies, e.g., Various distribution of Linux, Windows, Real-time operating systems, and embedded systems
- Familiarity with documentation and the following Microsoft software packages: Office, Visio, Project
- Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance with a favorable background suitable for SCI and SAP/SAR programs
- Master’s degree from an accredited university (or equivalent work experience) with emphasis in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other Information Security related field
- Experience in the design and development of computer networks, integrated with disparate systems and prototype electronic systems
- Experience with specific, DoD, NSA, or other agency information assurance requirements and capabilities
- Experience with US government customer acquisition and program management processes
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment
- Prior experience with DoD or other national security agencies
